Snake #3 (and hawk)

Snake #3, killed by a hawk, found by Mark S. via Moses S.

This morning while Patience and I were trying to have breakfast, a young red tail hawk flew off the oak branch it had been preening on for some time, then flew onto the lawn. It grabbed a large snake and flew over to a post of the split rail fence. The snake wrapped itself tightly around the hawk’s talon which seemed to disturb the bird. After landing, the big hawk stamped several times before beginning to eat the snake. A few bites into the meal, the snake finally went limp and for some reason the hawk flew off, leaving the loose snake draped over a fence rail. Have a nice breakfast.
